Give 2AM The Middle Finger — Early Show Tonight in Columbus OH

While it’s not being labeled a donewaiting.com show, many people in the donewaiting world had their hands in it. If you’re in Columbus OH tonight and hate that there’s not enough early shows in town, here is your answer:

SHOW AT WOODY’S
in the OSU Student Union
129 W 12th Ave Clumbus, Ohio

The Stepford Five
Aether
Woolworthy
Show start at 9:00pm

Aether starts things off, then Woolworthy, then TS5. You’ll also have the chance to meet donewaiting.com’s Chicago writer, Tankboy, who is also coming to the show. And just because I am feeling so helpful, I went ahead and planned your entire weekend.

Check out this sweet photo Chip took of Skeleton Key:

More photos plus review of the Columbus OH show found right here. GO I said.

whatever.

After two recorded songs and months of speculation, Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland confirmed that he will be the singer for the band featuring former Guns n’ Roses members Slash (guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Matt Sorum (drums). According to Weiland, the secretive group, which has been working under the name “the Project,” will be called Reloaded. (full story)

Hasn’t anyone told these guys that Scott Weiland outside of STP results in crap? And that anything involving Slash post-GNR equates 12 people in the world being interested?

Watch: Blur’s New Video

Real Audio stream of Blur’s new video for “Crazy Beat” found here. In the video Blur battles The Great Green Electricity Monster. Good song, funny video. It reminded me of The Vine’s “Get Free” video where they battle The Great Lightning Monster.

It took me awhile, but I’ve finally warmed up to their new record, Think Tank. Could be a favorite of the year.

And yes, we’re still discussing it right here.

donewaiting/dwatch: Rosa Parks Needs to Get Back on the Bus; The Fred Durst Solo Record That Won’t Happen

Our Durst Watch is in full force today. First, Charlesworth (who is still calling himself Ol’ Dirty Bastard) lays out the realistic odds of the Fred Durst solo album ever seeing the light of day. He also went on to tell Rosa Park what’s what, too.

donewaiting/england: Live Review of Raveonettes, Stellastar*

Our England writer chum, Steve Miller, got to see The Raveonettes again, this time out with Stellastar*. Read about it.

Also, what’s up with Muse sucking Satan’s pecker?

Magnatune: They Are Not Evil

A nice breath of fresh air for an otherwise gloomy Columbus day:

We are an Internet record label which sells and licenses music by encouraging MP3 file trading and Internet Radio.

When you find an artist you like, pay what you can afford to show your support, starting at $5 for an entire online album. Companies can sublicense our music for commercial use using our no haggling, easy online forms. All money from your purchases is split 50/50 with our artists.

No major label connections.

We are not evil. (continue)

I haven’t listened to anything from them yet, so I dont know if there’s anything good in there. If you download anything and enjoy/hate it, tell us about it in the message board.
