Our dear friends Dirty on Purpose are coming back to Columbus on Friday, July 20, at the Wexner Center. This time around they’re opening for The Besnard Lakes, who are making their Columbus debut.

We’ve got a copy of the Arctic Monkeys “Brainstorm” 12″ we’re just dying to give you. I don’t know about the rest of you, but this writer has been enjoying the hell out of the band’s new disc, as it neatly sidesteps the sophomore slump to deliver songs that are tighter and better written than the tracks on their record breaking debut.
Wow, that was a mouthful. Serial abuse of commas perhaps? Naw, I think it’s still all grammatically correct.
Moving on.

Califone are coming back to Wexner Center in Columbus on Tuesday, November 21. We’re happy to announce that we have one pair of tickets to give out to the show!

For those of you who’ve read donewaiting.com for any length of time, you know that we’re big fans of The Decemberists. Besides writing about them a lot, we were fortunate enough to put together the band’s first two shows in Columbus @ Little Brother’s before they launched into the larger venues and stopped looking at us directly in the eyes. (just kidding!!)

Hot Chip and Mouse on Mars are playing the Wexner Center on Wednesday, November 8 and we’re giving away two pairs of tickets for the show.
