Win Ted Leo Tickets for Columbus Show

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists rank as one of the most discussed bands on this website. It’s safe to say that I love everything about Ted and his band – his music, his lyrics, his message – it all works perfectly together. Add the facts that he’s from a town that neighbors my hometown (he’s from Bloomfield, I’m from Clifton NJ), and he and my girlfriend share the same birthday (September 11)… well, it just seals the deal.

Over the past few years we’ve probably spent more money on gas to see Ted than any other musician. There was an incredibly long stretch where he didn’t play Columbus, but was playing Cleveland and Akron all the time, and we never missed a show. That has changed, and now he’s playing his third show in town in like a year. That is how I like it.

Holy UK invasion, Batman! Bloc Party and Arctic Monkeys are coming to Columbus OH, in the same week no less! Arctic Monkeys are at Newport on September 11 and Bloc Party is at The LC on September 13. I’m going to be out of town this week, so you can imagine I am pretty bummed.

But fear not, readers who are IN town! We’ve got a pair of tickets for each show. Two New Contests: Sea Wolf and Dappled Cities

Okay everybody, we’ve got two pretty cool contests for you people out there in internet land.

First up… Dappled Cities!

Australians Dappled Cities are going to be in Columbus next week on Tuesday, July 31 at the Newport Music Hall with The Fratellis.
