Rich & Ben are back with another installment of their comedy series Doin’ It Wrong. This episode entitled “Goin’ Ham” has Siltbreeze proprietor Tom Lax teaching the Cheater Slick’s Dave Shannon about childcare. Some dude from the Axemen is in this episode too.

Here’s another very short sneak peek into the music of Divine Fits, the Sam Brown/Britt Daniel/Dan Boeckner band that’s coming to Columbus a week from Monday, August 6. Boeckner says the band has a surprise Ohio cover song in store for us…
This video is the work of Alexa Gerrity, who describes it this way:
In this piece, identity and self expression are highlighted, and the energy of the music is accentuated. Inspired by masks and head-gear spanning centuries from ancient Aztec, Mayan, Japanese and Venetian masks, to Saxon armor, these “skins” reveal and conceal the fleeting expressions on the face, culminating in an ecstatic release.
A Thing Called Divine Fits is out Aug. 28 on Merge. Preorder here.

This is definitely one of my favorite additions to the recent concerts, good to see it captured on Jimmy’s show. You can also watch them perform Laminated Cat.

Due to the threat of a bad afternoon storm, the LC has decided to move tonight’s previously scheduled outdoor LC Cinderella/Sebastian Bach show indoors. Sounds like a very good move.
Cinderella rolled through town a few years ago, playing a free show at the LC after the band they were touring with (The Scorpions) canceled due to an illness. With no new material on store shelves, Cinderella will bang through the catalog of hits from the late ’80s and early ’90s.
Meanwhile, it’s been almost four years to the day since former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach has performed in Columbus (not counting his pop-up guest appearance at Rock on the Range last year singing “Youth Gone Wild” with Asking Alexandria). Though the singer has released two great solo hard rock albums (Angel Down, Kicking & Screaming), fans want to hear Skid Row songs and Bach undoubtedly will pepper his set with songs that the masses will know.
Local band Level 7 opens the show. Doors are at 6:30, Sebastian Bach is scheduled to hit the stage at 8pm. Tickets are $20.

In the above Noisey video, Chief Keef tells Childish Gambino that he doesn’t have a wallet because he likes to carry around stacks of money in his hand. They then compare photos of each other holding stacks. Chief Keef’s stack is bigger. But if you think about it Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino gets show money. And when I mean show money I don’t just mean sold-out tours. I mean TV show money as in getting money from Community and 30 Rock.
This is like Travis Porter trying to play big bank with Tina Fey
It’s cool that it was shot in front of a Stay High 149 joint.

If you killed a man by filling his body parts with a zillion bullets and the brutal murder made a pleasant sound then it would resemble this version of Gatekeeper‘s “Tree Drum”.
Gatekeeper has an album release party at the Public Assembly in New York Friday for their new LP EXO. More release party info on the Facebook invite here

Initially, I watched the above video because it had a tank in it and I am huge No Limit fan. I kept watching because the song was was dope. DMT Flow is the opposite of No Limit soundwise as it’s some true school Hip Hop . So after looking into I found out Tribe & Big Cats are a rap group based in Minneapolis and they just dropped a free album called Space via soundcloud. Big Cats production is kinda nice.
Peep Rolling Stones off Space below.

I don’t remember the name of every female emcee on Bahamadia’s “3 the Hard Way” at this minute. I will say after hearing 9th Wonder’s friendRapsody rock on this NonFiction song next to TDE’s Ab Soul that you could probably lie to me and claim that she was on that classic posse cut. Hopefully her debut LP ,‘The Idea Of Beautiful’, which is slated to be released on 8-28-2012 via Jamla Records will be just as fresh as “NonFiction”.

Here’s another one from Blues Control off the Drag City release Valley Tangents. According to The Quietus, director Clémence Hébert filmed this on the Danish island of Tunø in the Kattegat Sea. If you need a little nature in your life, or you’re in bonfire withdrawal but can’t get out of the office, this is a good substitute. And a good soundtrack.
