The Black Keys New Album is Produced By Dangermouse

Well, I guess its safe to tell the world now since its on Pitchfork.Dangermouse produced the new Black Keys  record titled, Attack and Release. The album is due out April 1st on Nonesuch. No Ike Turner isn’t on it. Yes, its really good.

Causes: Darfur Benefit Album

As a musical companion to Caleb’s review of the Darfur Documentary “The Devil Came on Horseback,” I wanted to point out a new benefit album that was just released by Waxploitation.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to three non-profit organizations: Doctors Without Borders, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam America.

Akron label Audio Eagle (launched by Pat Carney of The Black Keys) has released a new compilation of songs from bands all across Ohio. Featuring such donewaiting.com favorites as Doug Gillard, Deathly Fighter, Six Parts Seven, Brainbow, and Gil Mantera’s Party Dream, it really is a nice artifact showcasing what’s going on here.
