Video: Lykke Le “I Follow Rivers” (Tyler, The Creator Remix)

In between not wiping his ass and trying to get Waka Flocka on the remix of “Bitch Suck Dick”, Tyler the Creator made a video for the Lykke Le remix he did “out of boredom”.

Bass Drum of Death Tour Dates after the jump

MellowHype is Hodgy Beats and Left Brain and on Fat Possum as well. So I guess they would also be Fat Possum’s first two-piece since the Black Keys.

You prolly remember Hodgy from that infamous OFWGKTA Jimmy Fallon performance. MellowHype will be performing “64” from BlackenedWhite, which will be remastered, remixed, and feature bonus material that wasn’t on the the original version released on Halloween 2010. Continue reading

Odd Future (OFWGKTA) Frankie Ocean’s Mixtape “Nostalgia, Ultra” Available for Free Download

Frankie Ocean is the swagged out, singing sweetheart(nh) from the collective Odd Future Wolfgang Kill Them All. He just dropped the Nostalagia,Ultra album. Diddy, John Legend, and Lupe have been tweeting at the crooner. You probably heard him on Mellowhype, and he will be on the the upcoming Tyler, the Creator album Goblin.
Download Frankie Ocean’s “Nostalgia, Ultra” on Odd Future’s Tumblr.

Frankie sent the following message to world from his publicist:

“My name is Frank Ocean. I grew up in New Orleans. I’m from Odd Future. I wrote Nostalgia, Ultra in spring 2010. I think I have Synesthesia. I feel more like some type of visual artist than a musician when I’m working. I just mean my process is more about imagery. Maybe people wanna call it a certain genre because I’m a black guy singing. I don’t really mind. To be honest, I don’t think much about it. I categorize it in iTunes as Bluegrass or Death Metal usually. I’m pretty sure I have Synesthesia though. I also wear a Kippah from time to time. I smoke Marijuana for anxiety. Oh, and I used to battle-rap in High School.

Video: Odd Future & The Roots “Sandwitches” Live on Jimmy Fallon

Tyler, The Creator and Hodgy Beats of Odd Future may have changed the game last night.

Tyler rocked an inverted cross on a ski mask, while screaming his lyrics at a female mental patient, Fallon, some ginger, and a lame from Big Momma’s House.

All this was backed by the Roots with Mos Def lurking in the background yelling “swag”.
Is this the Swag generation’s Fear on SNL?

Time will tell.

In the least they are making everyone else in rap look timid like cowards. My guess is the one-off deal with XL is just the start.

Video:Tyler, the Creator “Yonkers”

Odd Future’s Tyler, The Creator raps on this song that he also produced.

Despite the song being called “Yonkers” it does not have 100 shirtless men hanging out with DMX in X’s hometown.
But Tyler’s video is just as creepy and desolate as sitting in your house drunk at 6:00 with DMX’s album Its Dark and Hell is Hot playing while you are crouched on a shitty couch debating if you should kill yourself or just go to UDF and buy more 40s.

I think Tyler expresses a wish to kill Bruno Mars, and B.O.B. on this one
But that’s the least disturbing lyric. Also minorly disturbing, compartively is “I told her to shut the fuck up. Here is the number to my therapist. He is fucking awesome at listening” or “Jesus called he said he is sick of the disses. I told him to quit bitchin’. This isn’t a fucking hotline.”
Be sure to watch the video until the end.
Yonkers is the first song on Tyler’s upcoming album, Goblin, which drops in the spring.
Keep tuned into Odd Future’s tumblr. And Tyler’s website.
The Creator and Hodgy Beats of Odd Future (OFWGKTA) will break off from the tour to perform this song on Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon with help from The Roots on 2/16. This will be Odd Future’s network debut.

Odd Future to play Jimmy Fallon 2/16. Tour Dates and Coachella

UPDATE: Watch the video here of the performance

According to the LA Times, L.A. rap malcontents, Odd Future are currently in the middle of label bidding wars. So what’s a better way to raise the stakes then play some key markets, hop on National TV with the Roots, and rock Coachella?

Who is Odd Future?
High School kids that can actually skate, and can actually rap who are also very anti-social towards the current hypebeast blog rapper.
Throw a little Wu, shock value and Dada in with the Cool Kids to make them not Jurassic 5. Or throw a lot Sean Price in with Das Racist. Or listen to rap and skateboard and don’t be a fucking poser. Insert the real title for License to Ill instead of poser. Or don’t.

That description too vague?
