CD101 Summerfest at the LC Pavilion sold out in record time. The lineup on the main stage featured Cake, She Wants Revenge, Company of Thieves and Sleeper Agent. The second stage (which was shoved in it’s normal corner by the bar) included Cold Cave, Funeral Party, Limousines and local guys Old Hundred who won the fan vote.

Ace of Cups had their opening party at the end of July! Featured bands were Ex-Whites, Envelope and Scrawl.
Flogging Molly played with Clutch last week at the LC Pavilion. The show was delayed twice (once mid-Clutch set) because of constant downpours. While I hid from the rain under an awning, nearly half the crowd left before Flogging Molly even played.

Frank Black / Black Francis / Charles Thompson of the Pixies played Outland last Friday in a balmy, balmy show. It was pretty miserable on the floor in my shorts and tank top but I can’t even imagine how the man survived for an hour and a half on stage! Nonetheless it was a great show.
