OSU graduate and Cleveland Cav’s DJ Steph Floss video blogged Ohio’s involvement at A3C, a Hip Hop festival in Atlanta for his website Eighty81.. So above is a video with snippets of Stalley and Fly Union’s performances.
Below is DJ Steph FLoss getting ready to head to Atlanta from Cleveland. Once in Atlanta, he goes to a New Era instore that Fly Union, CJ Townsend aka Cornelius Jackson, Stalley, Le For the Uncool, Dion from Elevator Music, Pac Div, Hustle Simmons and plenty others are kicking it at. Floss introduces Fly Union and Stalley to each other for the first time, while CJ, Fly Union’s dj compliments Floss on inventing a new drink.
That is alot of OHIO in ATLANTA.
J. Rawls has been working diligently on a new album, “the Hip Hop Affect”. This is footage of Rawls and Storm 900 mixing a Posse Cut called “We’re on Top”#Ohio Takeover. Its of note that the song has the 3rd, Illogic, Mhz, Tonya Morgan, Fly U, Le, Mood, Stalley, Count Bass D and more working together. So many generations and lanes.

Le for the Uncool drops the Measure tomorrow. I dig the above video “First of All”. It has LE going out to Fifth and Cassady to make a pick-up then makes a drop at Sole Classic. Crips, Islam, Harlem Renaissance and Cornel West…fuck with it.
Here is an artist profile on LE. I think Homage’s NBA Jam video game machine in the background is a good touch.
Here is a picture of Stalley at Bodega.
The narrative is that Stalley moved to New York to play basketball from Ohio. He eventually linked up with Mos Def, Dame Dash, etc, and now is getting back in touch with Ohio. He went to a Cavs game with the Eighty81 crew.. He visited his old high school in Massillon.. He hung out in the Short North with me.. And he recorded music with some Columbus artists which is availble below.
The Smoking Section put up an EP that Stalley did with a Elevator Music, a Columbus based label slash collective.
The narrative leads to tonight’s show with Elevator Music.
