MP3:the Npayshint “The Run” & “Click Clack”

MP3:The Npayshint-The Runs (prod by A.U.)

MP3:The Npayshint-Click clack

Everytime I write about the Npayshint I point out that he was on Envelope’s song “Turn It Up”, and the Columbus emcee was also on RJD2’s last album. And of course the Catalyst mixtape.

Plus he played one of our Annivesarys with his crew Though Set.

A few months ago he gave us “Stretchin”, and these two songs are aptly titled “the Bench Press”.

I guess the point of these blurbs is get you to listen to the music. So listen to these songs, and then stop saying there aren’t enough good rappers in Columbus. Or at least continueing saying Npayshint reminds you of liking rap music.

And if you are in another city, if you think rappers should have deep voices, rhythm, and sound like other black people would’nt make of them, then listen to NPayshint.

Video: P Blackk “Bussin’ Rhymes” (Whoo-Haa Freestyle)

P.Blackk is the shit.. I know that is a trite thing to say. But every time this dude does something, I am like…this little motherfucker gets it.

At the BTW show he came out to a Malcolm X speech, and informed the crowd that he wasn’t gonna intergrate.

I don’t take that as a diss to anyone.

I just looked at it as a proclamation that his goal isn’t to be, just the cool looking guy, making the hip rap of the moment. He is rooted.

Anyway, if you watch this clip, which is has Blackk rapping over the Busta Rhyme’s classic,”Who-Haa”, it is evident that P.Blackk is open to alot of things, can rap and possesses a good sense of style and humor.

If you live in Columbus, then you have to love this video. Filmed at the Carabar, this is very familiar scenario for most artistic townies.

If you don’t live in Columbus…I’m sure there is booze and floozeys in your city.

KEEP BOUNCING is off Blueprint’s new album Adventures in Counter-Culture, due April 5th on Rhymesayers Entertainment. Cameos by Latimore Plattz, Envelope, Zerostar, Ill Poetic, Bridget, this girl that worked at Bento, Donnie, Kate, random black dyke, Intricate Sunz, Ron from the Carabar, and myself.

Seems like Columbus rapper Grmm has always been dope and around. Here he is rapping over the Charmels aka CREAM in a way that is specifically raw Columbus regardless of the sample origin.

MP3:Trav Dave, J. Osceola, Freddie Mac, Anti “Lyrical Accountant”

MP3-Trav Dave, J. Osceola, Freddie Mac & Anti-Lyrical Accountant

“Playboy” Trav Dave sent me this mp3 of himself, J. Osceola, Freddie Mac, and Bronx emcee Anti ripping a raw track. Trav has been around the Columbus Rap community for a grip and runs with J.Rawls and the Usual Suspect dudes.
His verse is at the end, and manages to include a Lil B reference in a song called “Lyrical Accountant”. All jokes all aside..real rap…protect your neck.. live at the bbq style.
Extra points for the rhyme, “some artists need to pay homage, I remember when you used to get your Jordan’s from Muhammad.”

I put a Columbus graffiti production because the song is a posse cut.

MP3:Npayshint “Stretchin’ Freestyle”

MP3: NP-Stretchin’

NP from Thought Set twittered this little freestyle. Dude is dope.  You might remember him as the third guy on RJD2’s Ason’s Cycle. Anyway, this is just a warm-up that has the Columbus MC rappin’ over a looped up beat.
