MP3:Blueprint-Who EP

MP3:Blueprint-Who EP

Blueprint’s latest EP has him sampling the Who EP. So you Rock N Rollerz might light this one. The bulk of the content is Print discussing how he worked hard to get where he is at when other people had different ideas. Donewaiting readers might take note of track 3, “See Thru”, Print’s lo-fi song, where he shouts out DJ Przm, TNV and PHS. Illogic is on Track 5, “Pain” in which Print revisits the Teenage Wasteland sample he used on Illogic’s “1000 Whispers” and then Best Buy told him he wasn’t allowed to when Weightless reissued Celestial Clockwork through Raptivism.
There are three versions of Blueprint Who. This is the free version. To purchase or look for more info please check www.weightless.net.

Blueprint is currently on tour With Atmosphere, DJ Rare Groove, Budos and Grieves

If y’all remember Greenhouse vs. Radiohead, Blueprint vs. Funkadelic or how Print flipped the Who on Illogic’s “1,000 Whispers then you will be pretty stoked on Blueprint’s first video for his new EP Blueprint Who.
The video had Print and and his dj Rare Groove playing the role of rivals that keep bumping into each other at the local record stores, Used Kids, Magnolia and Lost Weekend.
It’s funny and silly.
(I make a brief cameo in a shot)

MP3:Le For The Uncool-The Measre</a

Columbus Rapper L.e. For the Uncool drops the Measure. It is produced by Rashad. The guests are the 3rd, Knaledge from Kidz in the Hall, Milk N Syrup’s P. Blackk+ Fabrashay and Detroit’s Truck North(who was on the latest Roots album).
The Measure is both—one of the stronger Hip Hop, and Columbus releases this year. Continue reading

Video:Le For the Uncool-First of All

Le for the Uncool drops the Measure tomorrow. I dig the above video “First of All”. It has LE going out to Fifth and Cassady to make a pick-up then makes a drop at Sole Classic. Crips, Islam, Harlem Renaissance and Cornel West…fuck with it.

Here is an artist profile on LE. I think Homage’s NBA Jam video game machine in the background is a good touch.

MP3:Trav Dave-I’m Me(Produced By J-Rawls)

MP3:Trav Dave-I’m Me(Produced By J-Rawls)
This song “I’m me” by Columbus rapper Trav Dave is produced by J-Rawls. It will give you that classic I-N-I Pete Rock era-feel. The MP3 didnt come with a picture so a google effort came up with Trav kicking it with the Blue Man group. I hear they put on a good show.
Be on the look-out for Trav Dave’s Ep soon.

MP3:L.e.Fortheuncool-Lifestyle Excessiveness Feat Naledge

L.e. for the Uncool teams up with Naledage from Kidz in the Hall.
Beat by Rashad. Thats right Columbus cats with a Duck Down artist on a track.
Song itself is dope. Basically about being true to yourself…. L.e. makes a good point about not calling yourself the next Dilla or Pac and just doing you.
J. Rawls leaked this last night. It’s the first jam off of L.e.’s upcoming mixtape “The Measure”, which is set to drop August 31st.

MP3:Greenhouse ft Toki Wright and Angelic Lee

MP3:Greenhouse-Only You Featuring Toki Wright Angelic Lee

Greenhouse(Blueprint and Illogic) hook up with Rhymesayer Toki Wright and Angelic Lee over new-fashioned cyborg almost tribal rhythm complete with a heavenly vocoder. Don’t think drum n bass though cause it sounds nothing of the sort. Word wise all three trace their paths in time.

The song is from the upcoming Weightless Release Greenhouse Ep Electric Purgatory Two which features Toki Wright and Aesoprock.

Release party in Columbus July 24th. Read the flyer that is posted.
